I had one other thought for today. Well, I’ve had a lot but that’s beside the point. The other day I stopped at Little Caesar’s to pick up a pizza and the girl who worked there came up front from the back and the very first thing I noticed was that she missing her right arm from the elbow down. Of course there was the awkward, do I look at it, do I ignore it questions that swirled around for the five minutes that I was in there but it made me think. You know how they say that the brain is this amazing thing, right? It just amazed me how quickly it seemed to register to me that the girl had no arm and it makes me wonder if there’s not something deep in out minds that has something like a mental checklist that checks for normalities and abnormalities. Like something very subconscious that goes: all limbs? check.
Just a thought… that’s all. Who on earth knows how the brain works anyway?
